Here are some details about the Adirondack chairs that we offer:
- Completely handcrafted by wood artisan with over 35 years woodcraft experience.
- Most MR Wood Products Adirondack chair designs have curved seats and backs to maximize comfort. The backs are also made high enough to create a head rest for even very tall people.
- All pieces are individually sanded before assembly.
- All screws are coated deck screws and offer a limited lifetime warranty
against rust and corrosion. - All screw holes are pre-drilled and countersunk to prevent splitting of wood.
- Made from your choice of woods:
- Western Red Cedar – A beautiful wood that ages gracefully into a silver hue and can withstand
the elements very well. It is lighter than other woods and can withstand weights up to an estimated 250 lbs. - Yellow Pine – A great wood for staining or painting. It is a little heavier and stronger than cedar and can withstand weights up to an estimated 300 lbs.
- Pressure Treated Pine Decking – A very solid and heavy wood that holds up to rain and sun extremely well. This wood is thicker than the Western Red Cedar and Yellow Pine mentioned above (5/4″ vs. 3/4″) and therefore is much stronger and can withstand weights up to an estimated 350 lbs.
